The 5th World Forum on China Studies, co-sponsored by the State Council Information Office of the People’s Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal Government, and organized by the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, took place during March 23-24, 2013.
The Forum, themed on "China’s Modernization: Its Way and Prospect", drew nearly two hundred renowned scholars from home and abroad to address the collaborative interactions between China and the rest of the world from economic, ecological, social, political, diplomatic, cultural and historical perspectives. The development and implications of China Studies was also a key topic.
